I guess the follow up post will be on how to install one of those angry bee muffler tips. Do they make any "Type R" badges for our trucks? Has anyone put a Neuspeed window sticker in their front windshield? Is there any way to attach a rear spoiler to our tailgate? Oooh, and where do I get some neon tube lighting for the underside of my truck?!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

dude!! I basically agree with you, but I'm sure there's some over-the-counter stuff that would help you out and still allow you to drive safely.

I am ok with painting calipers...but not bright blue. Either paintmatching your body or painting them black is acceptable.

Here is a shot of mine!

I used ceramic brake paint from ORielly's. It is the kind you brush on.
This stuff is awsome... no problems with fading or weathering.
It looks awsome in person.

gmanjerseyfx4's post has to rank about a 9 or 10 on the unintentional comedy scale. Absolutely priceless. From the "up on blocks in the Wal-Mart parking lot" to the "aw screw it, taping off the rotors is too hard, I'm paintin' the whole darn thing" has got to be one of the all-time classic posts.

I take back everything I said above. I was dead wrong and gmanjerseyfx4 has shown the way. Everyone should go out and paint their rotors.

Oh, and I'm just having fun here. I realize that everyone has different tastes. I'm sure that I've done some mods to vehicles that others would think were totally gay and I've certainly cut some corners on mods.

In defense of GMAN, overspray doesn't matter because it burns off the rotor. It just makes some noise for a little bit.

Secondly, his situation warrants a parking lot. It is at his school

HOOAH!

Anyways, here is mine on the old truck. I used POR15 which is a multistep process. I have paint left over yet.

POR15 is a complete rust inhibitor.

I want to paint mine a glossy black, just to get rid of that dull black.

However, I still can't choose how to paint them . .

like i said...couldnt of been more happy with the end result...the paint comes off the second you step on the brake with a nice clean look...everything with my truck is a learning experience...no one has to take the route i did...n PS- the Walmart parking lot is actually the cadet parking lot at the US Military Academy, where i goto school...so in between all the BS during the week i was running the 2 miles back and forth all week trying to get ready for a show i was doing that weekend which i placed in

I painted the calipers and rotor centers silver on my S-10. Used engine enamel. It looked great for a couple years. Still not rusty but they've lost their clean gleam. Oh, and it's fine to paint the friction surface of the rotor. It smells kinda funny for all of 2 minutes and it's gone forever. Masking is a waste of time. I would reccomend taking the calipers off for a thorough cleaning though. It just sucks that you have to bleed the system...

My '06 has different colored calipers front and rear, goldish and silver/grey from the factory.
