Hey Ford Techs--Any tricks to changing a rear axle seal?

I have done in it my mustang with the 8.8 . Is it the same? I want to get this done asap (as soon as the dealer opens up in the morning so I can pick up the seal, put it together and get my a$$ to work)

Is it like this?
Just pull the diff cover off, take that pin retainer bolt out, slide the pin out, push in the axle to expose the c-clip, remove the c-clip, and slide out the axle. Will the axle seal come out easy, and does the new one just push in?

As for parts, all I should need is the seal, the oil, and friction modifier, right?

Thanks

That about sums it up. You can use the end of the axle shaft to pry the seal out. A big rolling head prybar works like a champ for this too. After that, just beat the new seal in with a hammer. Pick up a couple cans of brake clean to clean the oil residue off the backing plate while you're getting the rest of the stuff.
