Need help finding mirror

i have an 05, it has the blinker and is heated. My problem is my old lady was backing in my truck into my garage, and the mirror hit the house. The glass is all right but a small piece of plastic holding the mirror to the electric motor broke. i tried gluimg it back but it wont hold. I went to the ford parts department around here and they told me i need to buy the whole mirror bucket, its like 190 bucks.. Its just the motor cover thats broke does anyone know where I can buy just that or find a wrecked f150 to take it from??

Best bet is ebay, but there aren't many heated turn signal mirrors on there.

I did the same thing backing into my garage! You DO NOT have to replace the whole mirror! Before I bought my truck I bought a factory repair manual set off of E Bay. When looking thru that I noticed there was a seperate part number for the motor itself including the mounts. I went to the dealer and they told me to buy the whole mirror. I told them BS and to look up this part number. Lo and behold the part was only $17 and went on in about 5 minutes!

Part number is 3L1Z-17D696-AA TRY THAT!

I had the same problem and Ford told me I had to buy the whole Mirror for $240. Thanks to you guys I was able to get the part for $42. that old part # for $17 is no longer avaible and here is the new one. 6U5Z-17D696-C. Its not $17 but $42 is better then $240.

This thread was helpful to me as well but the part number has changed yet again. it is now 6U5Z-17D696-D
Edit: Okay just got back from the dealership and the part number actually is 6U5Z-17D696-C and the part they told me that replaced it was actually for the mirrors with the memory function. Good thing I didnt order the wrong part number of the net.
