I felt the need for speed...

...so I ordered the Whipple Supercharger today!

It will ship out today or Monday, and I'll get it sometime next week. I scheduled an appointment with Silver State Motorsports at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to have the install done on the 7th of March. I won't be home until the 2nd, so that's the soonest I could get it in. We'll be doing before and after dyno runs, and hooking up the boost gauge with the install, so I should have numbers for you guys shortly afterwards. I'm running a supercrew 4X4, so I'm not expecting a race horse, but I'd like to burn up the tires a little and leave a few of these fart can Honda's in the dust.

It'll be a looooong 3&1/2 weeks until I get the install done! I'm also looking at taking off the mirrors, fender flares and Roush spoiler/grille insert and getting them all painted. The spoiler is already painted but they didn't bake it well enough before painting and some grease was left on, so the paint is coming off. I might as well drop those parts off at the paint shop while the truck sits for a couple of days getting the install done. Install is estimated at 8 hours, but the PCM has to be sent to Whipple to be flashed since they don't have the hand held flashers ready to ship yet.

Next thing is re-upholstering the headliner and sun visors in black suede, getting the wet okole seat covers (black and red) and installing some subs under the rear seats. I also plan to paint all of the light grey interior parts red, but that'll be a while down the road.

Congrats. I wanted a whipple, but got sick of waiting and picked up a Roush instead. Ironically, I'm just now getting it installed, and of course now I'll be waiting for the intercooler.

NICE Can't wait to get feedback on the SC. The Whipple unit I had on one of my 5.3's was awesome which was non-intercooled. I am sure these will perform much better now with the intercooler.

So now you are gonna call your truck a "2005 Roush Whipple Mark LT" when its just an F150 in disguise.

sounds great ...cannot wait to hear your results...i wanted the whipple but didnt want to wait, so i went with ATI...just out of curiosity...if your already spending the $$$ why not take the truck to a professional tuner and have them dyno tune it?? Reason being, tunes from supercharger manufacturers are usually not that good, they just get you by...in my own personal experience, i picked up 33 RWHP from a custom dyno tune over the procharger flash software....just my 2 cents....but otherwise, like i said cannot wait to hear your results and see pics!

The place doing the install is a custom tuner, but I decided to go with the standard whipple tune for starters. I might get a custom tune down the road depending on my reaction to the performance after the install. Whipple spent a long time working on a tune specifically for this unit, and I'm not sure I trust anybody at this time to tune it for me. The other factor is I'll be moving back to Alaska a couple months after the install, so finding experienced tuners and installers will be very difficult, if not impossible up there. I'm thinking of just keeping it simple, and enjoying the difference I get with the standard tune, but who knows, I might get greedy.
