I had them on my '97 Mountaineer, and they definitely firmed up the ride and improved handling. My dad thinks they are a little firm for his tastes. I don't know how they are on an F-150, but I know that Chevy owners got them as part of the Z-71 package at one time (I don't know if they still do). I'll probably get some for mine when I finally decide to replace the shocks.
