13 second scab
13 second scab
What will be the best/most cost effective way to get a 2005 scab 3.73LS 5.4 with 20" wheels well into the 13 second range without underdrive pulleys and efans? Or if no one wants to answer that, what are my best bets for forum searches pertaining to the same info? obviously supercharger, but what are other options?

A 150HP dry shot would get you damn close. I sprayed a pretty much stock Ram for several years without a problem. But with the POS spark plugs in these trucks I would be a lot more concerned.
I would bet you could run a high 13 with a good tire, CAI, Cat-Back, a 150 shot and an appropriate tune. IMO you would get more bang with a 150 shot than with any of the current SC out there for much less money....the only down side is that its only available at WOT and then only for a a few seconds at a time. I don't want to get into a which is better (SC or NO2) or what the pitfalls of spraying are....I am just telling you a way that would get your truck into the 13s.

You could find someone to put together either a big single or a twin turbo kit for you. Would probably cost you a lot of money though. There is a regular cab chevy pickup making over 1000HP at the wheels with a big single turbo on it.

Any reason you're so specifically set on 13 seconds?

You don't think a 13 sec Scab would be fun?

10 second 6.0 Chevy pickup.
There is a video somewhere of this truck on the dyno making over 1000HP at the rear wheels.
