Does anyone know what this is?

I have this on my fender flare. It appears to be just some discoloration of the plastic but it bugs me. It was there when I bought my truck and I dont know what it is nor how to get rid of it. If anyone has experience with this and knows what to do please help me.

I had something that looked like that after I had my truck waxed. They used some chemical to get it off. Check at a car wash.

Yeah, its wax and/or oxidation.

Also, some cheap tire/trim products can do more harm than good and leave a residue once the black shine has disappeared. Armor All is one of them.

Mine did the same thing. Per someone’s recommendation, I used "Mothers Back to Black" and it worked great. I have to reapply once in a while, but I did make it look just like new again.

Back to black works pretty good, but save yourself the cash and go to your cabinet, take out your peanut butter(creamy or chunky both work equally as well), apply a thin coat of it to the affected area and massage it in thoroghly. Wash clean, and I guarantee it to be gone. Its an old detailers trick.
