Edge pod color?
Edge pod color?
I've got an 04 Lariat with tan interior.
Does anyone know where I can get a paint that will exactly match the grey trim that the edge pod sits on top of?
I'm sure someone has got a painted edge pod in their tan interior truck.
What color did you use?

I think most people have been getting the paint custom matched locally from what I have read. Thats what I did anyways, but mine is the gray color in an FX4. It matches ok, but the texture is different than the smooth of the dash, so I think I'm gonna sand it smooth and repaint it.
There is another thread on this that has links to the dealer paint codes, good luck finding a dealer that knows anything about interior paint.

Has anyone tried getting one from edge products? I have seen the add/billboard thing at the top of this forum that shows a picture of the inside of an f150 with a tan truck and a tan pod with the edge. It is an edge products add. Someone should send them an email and see if they sell them seperate. they cant be too much $$$

Someone posted a PDF before that listed all the codes and Motorcraft part numbers for the exterior/interior paint codes for a 2004/2005 I believe. Once you have the part number, you can go to like fordparts.com and enter the part number. When I checked part numbers previously, their system seemed to have them. I never checked with fordparts.com to see if they were spray cans or what...
For example, my 2005 has the Flint interior, so the three interior paint colors were Black (M4JZ-19M547-4149H), Med Flint (M4JZ-19M547-2001H) and Dark Flint (M4JZ-19M547-2002H). These are valid for my truck, so don't take these as being correct for yours. Hopefully someone will post that link so you can look up your colors, as I don't have it anymore.

Most of the guys here know how to look up their paint code on the interior paint chart but which interior color is the one we need, thats the hard part. If someone can figure out what color I need for an interior paint code of HW, that'd help me out.
Im not sure if this site will help also im not able to look up my paint code cause im at work, BUT give this a try and see if anything matches. The site does not list the F150 model, but it has a list for all models. Maybe something will match. At the bottom, you can select "interior" in the drop down menu.

Ford screwed up and changed the number thats why you got black. I can get you the Dupont paint code I think you need. If you have a auto parts store near you they should have a color chart book to confirm the color. I will be mixing a can on Tuesday to confirm it matches.
I think the Dupont color is Warm Steal Efect paint code I think is 3Q4. I have the dupont color chart when i place the paint chart on my dash Warm Steal appears to match and thats what my Ford dealer said the color should be. I will be mixing a aerosol can. Go to a Dupont dealer ask to see there interior color chart and look at 3Q4.
THIS INFORMATION IS FOR A 2005 FORD LARIAT,which looks like the same color as 2004.
Also whats funny, according to the book it is not used in the Ford F150 it is used in ford Explorer.
