New 2007 Expedition 6 speed auto (5.4 3V)

I've been pretty busy over the last week and might have missed a thread started about this but if not here is an article about the new Expy with a 6 speed.

http://media.ford.com/newsroom/relea...?release=22497

They are saying 9,100 towing capacity so it looks like this tranny could be swapped into a F150 and still be able to tow a heavy load.

That would be a nice mod. Only thing is how much computer work would need to be done, if not a full swap. And will the tranny bolt up, or will a new cross member have to come into play, and so on. My head hurts now, but I want one. Time will tell if it will be a doable swap. Maybe it would be easier then I am thinking.

Before they make the vehicle, they have to have the parts. They can't just make the parts for the day they start production.
