A while ago, I heard mention of a package that would add some of the Lariat luxuries to the FX4. Can't find it anywhere. Was this bullshoot? I like Lariats and have one, but want a red truck, which only comes with arizona in the Lariats. I thought I could go FX4, if I could get some of the Lariat goodies on it. Thanks.

 

Umm you can order Lariat with skidplated!

FX4 is just only added 5.4, 3.73s limited slip, skidplate, a damn sticker LOL!

SO you can add the list above to Lariat thats it.

I think the only thing that you can get in a Lariat's interior that that you can't get in the FX4 is the automatic climate controls.

 

I was more concerened with the color. I don't want a two-tone red - only a solid red. It would be cheaper to paint the grey FX4 wheel lips than paint over the arizona beige two-tone on a Lariat, which is the only way RED comes on a Lariat.

 

Well, if you won't miss the automatic climate controls then go for the FX4.

Oh, I almost forgot, you also won't have a message center with miles to empty, etc, thats another Lariat exclusive. The FX4 only gives you temp and compass.

^thanks for scanning the brochure. it confirms what I thought...that the luxury package would require leather seats as well (due to the heated seat luxury package option). So all those package options appear to make it just a Lariat interior now, except for the message center.

 

We have one on our lot.

You also get the steering wheel controls just like the lariat.

Absolutely not, you also get a rear armrest (supercrew only), wood trim, a luxury gauge cluster, mpg readouts and all the extra goodies in the cluster readout, the rear seats in the FX4 are not leather, but vinyl, a nicer honeycomb grill, lariat wheels, need I say more?

 

And the "idiot-box" computer that tells you the fuel mileage and when to change your oil.
