Headlight color

Could someone tell me if the yellow smaller bulb surround on the 04-06 model headlight is isolated to a certain year or model? I am working to help a friend fix his truck and it has a yellow area surrounding the small headlight bulbs (it is an 04 Lariat).

Most of the replacement units just have a yellow bulb.

I searched for this before posting but came up empty.

thanks in advance!

Hmm sounds like your talking about the turn signal.......thats the only thing that woudl be yellowish in color. Well i guess to answer your question... im pretty sure 04-06 use teh same bulb for the turn signals.. i hope that helps lol

I think you're talking about the round chrome lense behind the bulb? You are just seeing the reflection of the yellow turn signal bulbs, which causes the lense to look yellow as well. That's why many us switched to silver (but still blink amber) turn signal bulbs to get rid of that "fried egg" look.

Your right, it must just be a reflection...I was looking to purchase one on Ebay and it didn't look right.
