Roush exhaust... not getting answers in other forums
As soon as my house house sells, which is currently under contract, I'm having the Roush blower put on my truck. I love my F-150, but as we all know it lacks in the power dept. Plus, I just love the sound of a blower under the hood.
My main concern is exhaust. I know the Roush kit is made as a complete bolt on turn key kit (after PCM recal), but how much does one have to gain from going to one of the aftermarket exhaust kits? As a "just-in-case" I went ahead & ordered the Roush "legal" kit -- at $120 less than Summit/Jets I couldn't pass it up. Which brings me to the next topic.
If I go to an aftermarket exhaust, I want it to sound as close to stock as possible. I know most people go straight for the Roush "offroad" kit, but does anyone have first hand experience (especially in form of sound clip) on the "legal" kit? The shop I bought the kit from, which I found on here, said the "legal" kit rarely sells.
