Pulled one Plug today.
Got a spark plug socket today in the mail and rushed out to use it..
Scary! I have 30500 Miles on my truck.. I pulled the plug on the driver's side on the front of the block cause it was easiest.. Creeked and cracked the whole way out.. scared the crap outa me..
I just pulled the one plug.. I was curious to see what they looked like..
After looking at the one, and how hard it was to remove on a COMPLETLY cold engine.. I dont know if I really want to try to replace all of them..
Any thoughts on the pics of my one plug?

I've heard more information from the powers that be on removing plugs from these engines. For best results, I've been told to do 'em on a semi warm engine. Loosen the plug about 1/8 to 1/4 turn, then spray your favorite penetrating oil down into the plug well (Ford recommends Kroil; I figure any kind of penetrating oil should do), not a lot, just enough to cover the hex portion of the plug. Let it sit for 10 minutes or so, then have at it. Rumor has it that there's a special tool forthcoming from Rotunda that'll pull the broken inserts without removing the heads in the worst case scenario.
I thought about this nightmare again today when I took my work Expedition in for some work and they said it needed a tune up, no big deal. Well then I thought about my truck, and suddenly thought about tune ups being a huge deal, imagine some poor F150 owner taking his truck in for a random tune up and getting stuck with a $2000 bill.
I wish Ford would fix the problem rather than trying to use some tool to repair the damage once its already been done. Changing spark plugs will become a huge deal for the first time for me.

That's BS, if Ford changes my plugs and messes them up, there going to pay the bill. How could they charge you for something the owner has no control of. All I've got to say is, my warranty better cover it, or I'm going to the local Dodge dealership.

I had no idea that plugs/wires were such a huge deal on these trucks!
I thought I'd stop by my local parts store, pick up some new plugs/wires for like $80 and finish the job in 35 minutes in the driveway...
GAWD, I wish the old days...
