I can't wait to get my Edge. It should be here tomorrow or Sat. Where do you live in Allentown Jim? I live in Salisbury Twp. My Edge has been on backorder. I'm going to be like a little kid on Christmas morning. Ha ha I like the V-max.. Awesome...

Some other threads were referring to sites and coupon codes.

I ordered mine from www.truckracingparts.com and used coupon code "eef2400jan06". They took over $100 off. I can't remember the exact price I paid, but I think it was $330 or $340 with free shipping.

How come you need to download the updates first? Will it mess up if you play with it a while on your truck and then try to update, thanks.

Its not working...I was looking at trying it myself. Will it mess me up to do the lightning program on my 5.4? I was trying to download that file but it comes up to a error page. Maybe we all ran over there and overloaded thier site...hehe...we blew out thier hard drives! Should I do the Lightning download? Whats it going to do better than my Edge made for my truck?

Yeah, i got mine in yesterday and even on level #2 it rocks! I keep getting errors though, for programming my tire size, etc. If i download the lightning upgrade, will it fix this?

u can get'em at truckracingparts.com for 339 shipped.... use the bargain patrol coupon to get 101.10 off of 440.10

but they are going fast....

i got mine at discountpowerparts.com for the same price, they matched truckracing's price at the time... not sure if they are still doing it, probably are though....

i haven't tried setting #3 yet... will probably do that this weekend when my 87 runs out.......

i like the tuner so far.... truck feels overall much lighter and the acceleration is instant now.....shifts are harsher though.....

You don't NEED to download the updates first. I only recommended this due to some errors received by some while playing with their unit and trying to make adjustments.I wouldn't want to play with the unit, unless all the recent problems that others have experienced were resolved. and these updates take care of some issues after the product was mass distributed.Edge put the products out there a few weeks ago and they were sitting in a shop or wharehouse somewhere waiting to be sold, meanwhile errors were being corrected and problems resolved. So if you buy a unit, before you put it on your truck, make sure that you have all the resolved updates to prevent errors and give you a better chance of not having any problems at all with your new purchase. Just my opinion.
