The first thing is are you looking at this truck because of the deal or because it is the truck you want? If it is the deal, push back for a bigger discount and if you do not get it, walk away. Odds are you will get a call within a couple of days asking if you still want to buy the truck at the lower price.

If you really like this truck, you might shop other dealers to see what an 06 would cost with the same options. If the price is within a couple of thousand order yourself an 06; if it is really a deal buy the 05.

If you trade every couple of years, you will probably loose your tail on a leftover. I bought my 04 well after the 05s came out and know if I were to trade it in within two years I would take a big bath. If plan on keeping the truck 4 or 5 years it will probably even out.

Often there is no logical reason why one truck is a leftover and other is not. It could be as simple as this one does not have limited slip while others that sold did or this one had audiophile and previous shoppers would not spend the money. It even could be as simple as they had 3 trucks exactly the same and this one was largest distance from the showroom. Just because it is a leftover does not mean there is a problem.
