Question Best replacement headlight bulbs??

I’ve noticed that the factory bulbs in our trucks aren’t as bright as I’d like. Without spending too much money, are there any “brighter” bulbs out there. I live in the “country” so most of the roads I drive don’t have street lights. (I hate Louisiana!!) I’ve seen ads on TV about SilverStar bulbs, but from what I’ve read on here, they don’t’ make those for our trucks. Any advice would be great!

PS: This site rocks! I’ve learned a lot from the people on this board, and even had a few laughs on the way. Keep up the great work…

No SilverStar's as of yet, and who knows for sure if they will ever come out. I think I read a post a few weeks ago about them being available in Japan soon or something, but who knows.

I replaced my stock bulbs with the Sylvania Xtravision H13/9008 bulbs. They are very nice! Do yourself a favor and check out my post about them here.

And here are some pics of them for your enjoyment:

There are some cheap H13 bulbs on eBay (cheap quality, not price!) that I wouldn't trust if I had to.

Good luck!

If you want the best lighting output from H13 bulbs I would stay stock or the Sylvania Xtravision. Blue coated bulbs are not as bright as stock so I would avoid them. I have heliolite H13 bulbs in my truck and the light output is a bit less than stock but the color is great. I do hope someone soon makes a standard watt bulb that last a long time and that produces a really bright WHITE light.
