I'm like you, I HATE rattles and noises and such.
You have to find somewhere close to where it's come from first. maybe if you try to tap your dash with your hand, maybe you can duplicate the problem. once you find the area the noise is coming from it might be as simple as sticking some peacies of foam under some parts.
noises are so hard to pin point though

I'm pretty sure it has mostly to do with the full plastic dash and the temperature of it, and the tolerances between them. Without isolating the problem(s) and foaming them, I think we're SOL because I have them too from time to time, and they can be very annoying but at least they seem to go away for me.
I have some "pops" too, thought they were the windshield, but could be the dash. it happens during big temp changes. Hot outside and the air is cooling the truck down, or cold outside and the heater is running.

Crackling sounds in the dash
When illegal aliens sneak across the Border, Amnesty International gives them those variety pack size cereals so they won't starve.
If you take your dash apart, no doubt you'll find a couple of Canadians with a box of Rice Crispies.

top of the center console rattle
I am having a rattle in the center of the dash close to the windshield. It starts when the temperature is below about 70 deg and is a constant rattle above 40 mph. I have pushed, hit, and wedge things in it to try to locate the source. Nothing has any effects at all except temperature and speed. It is driving me crazy. Will the dealer work on it under warranty - only about 1000 miles left on warranty.
I have been told that I am a funny guy, but some of the stuff I have seen here...Canadians and a box of rice crispies...
That's the kind of stuff that causes political incidents!
Keep it up!

As long as automakers use plastic pieces to fashion some sort of interior, they will rattle, squeak, pop, ding, and "pass gas" in the extreme cold, extreme heat, rain, sun, and snow. Every vehicle I have ever owned has done this, so we are SOL for now.
I have this issue as well. This buzzing/rattling noise is not a problem of the radio or HVAC system. It only occurs at low temps (below 0deg) in the far bottom corner passenger portion of the windshield at highway speeds above 50mph. The real kicker is that it only seems to occur when I am in the truck by my lonesome. Damn near crashed the truck once while trying to figure it out while going down the road at speed.
The dealer cannot duplicate the issue.

I used to hear a rattle in my truck, coming from the dash or steering column area.
Took me forever to find it.
Turns out it was my watch bracelet making the noise, that's how quiet it is in my truck.

Whenever it gets cold out, the squeaks and rattles get much worse, drives me nuts. The latest rattle is more of a high pitched vibe when I accelerate and at just the right range of rpm's, I had the whole centre section, including the stereo, pulled out of the dash for 3 days straight and still connected with one hand reached in there trying to find where the hell its coming from. Still can't find it. Tomorrow is another day.
