Mark LT Handle ?

If I have been reading things correctly the only LT handle w/ a keyhole is the left front door, but it also comes w/ a keyless entry pad. I don't have a keyless entry pad, or the harness for one, and also have no need for one, I am installing power locks w/ remote, but if the battery goes dead for some reason I don't want to be locked out of my truck w/ no way to get in. If I buy the left rear handle, would it be possible to cut a hole for the lock without it looking like crap?

As long as you "cut it" right you shouldnt have a problem. I have the rear on the front door w/ no key holes. So if something does happen i just use the good old coat hanger.

I just finished installling mine yesterday...I have a Lariat so I need the Key pad...but I agree with Asinatra if you do it right it would be fine... I also think it would be farely easy...the key hole is just barely over a half an inch wide... just my input

I just did the LTs on my Lariat Scab yesterday as well. I don't know if the rear supercrew handles have the "cup" for a lock cylinder. I do know my passenger door had a "cup" for a lock cylinder, but it did not have one in place, so maybe...

Well at worst I can put the lock on the passenger side, I just need it for a backup in case of a dead battery.

Now that I think about it, actually the passenger side does have a cup and lock cylinder, but no key access. No backup there.

Sorry, I was saying that I could cut a hole for the lock on the passenger side if the driver side won't work.

i guess you could cut it, but i wouldnt think it would look all that great to be honest with you. if you cut it, it won't have the tapered plastic into the keyhole, and you will end up with a gap... trying to fill that gap with something would be a pain in the ***, then getting it to look decent would too. if i were in your situation, i'd just get the one with the keypad, and leave it unoperational, just because it has the keyhole...

Lt door handle

You could buy the handle with the key pad and fill the holes left by the key pad and paint the handle to match.
