Where to but ARE tonneau parts??

I recently traded a soft tonneau cover for a ARE hard cover. Unfortnatly the previous owner lost the keys to the lock.

Where else, besides a local ARE dealer, can I purchase a replacement lock and or key? Preferably online.

Why shop online when you have 3 dealers very close by? Try these links: Truck Tops etc.

Tennessee Truck Outfitters

Camper Corral.

Maybe one of them can help you out.

i'd check out a dealer of ARE near you first. they have a master key set just in case they F up, and they could figure out what you need. on my breaks from school i work installing them, and at our shop here in MD, we have numerous keys laying around that we sell for just this reason. we normally get rid of the keys for pretty cheap too... if you find out what key code it is and a dealer doesnt have it, i can look around and check and see if i can find a couple for you at my shop. good luck

Like was mentioned previously... check ARE's website to find a dealer near you and utilize them first... Tonneaus are too darn expensive to cowboy in to it... let someone who knows the product deal with it... just my two cents.

I had an ARE on my ranger some years ago and if I remember correctly, the dealer that I purchased it from said they did or were able to get the master key for my tonneau if I ever lost it. I think there was also a key code somewhere on the tonneau, could be wrong though, maybe it was on the warranty paper.

When I bought my LS II, I wanted an extra key to hide inside the cab. I went back to the dealer to ask. He went out to my truck, checked the key number on the lock (mine was labeled "CODE #9"), went back in the store, pulled out a box with a bunch of extra keys, found the correct one, and said "Here you go". No charge.
I don't think there are too many different keys for these lids. Go find a dealer and ask.

I had a similar problem with a tool box once. I went to a lock smith and he was able to cut one custom. He put the key in a pair of vise grips, turned the key a bit to get the tumblers to mark the blank he was using and then used a file to cut the key. I'm not sure if this will work for you, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
