A shop here in Nashville uses a steam iron. I didn't get to see them do it on my car, but supposedly it helps with the glue. Any way you go about it, it's not going to be fun.

I have taken tint off a couple of my vehicles, the easy part was done by the cop who didn't agree with the tint. He just picked at the corner and peeled it right off in one piece. The glue was left up to me to take off when I got home. The EASIEST and CHEAPEST way to get the glue off is with simple WD-40. Spray a bit on and give it a couple minutes, the glue gets soft, then just use a sharp razor blade to get it off, simple and no scratches at all.
Good luck.

Thanks guys! I don't know if I'm gonna try to do it myself or not. Seems like a huge hassle to mess around with!

He said the fine was around $100 unless the judge threw it out. My uncle is GSP and he hasn't made a big deal about it but I guess I'll take it off the front 2 and put legal on.

I can't beleive a GA Dept of Motor Vehicle Safety stopped you. I thought they just stopped tractor trailers and cargo trucks to check weight and stuff. That had to have sucked. I guess I am going to keep pushing my luck for a while. I am coming up to ATL in late April for the Auto Show so I will probably get stopped then though....unless I just ride around up there with windoes down!

At least you can tint at all. Here in Jersey you can't legally tint fronts at all.
