Buzzing noise from the backseat.
Has anyone ever experienced a buzzing noise coming from the backseat?
I don't even know what's in the back to be making a noise.
I know its not the sub. I can turn the sub off manually and it still make the noise. Once I put the truck in park or neutral, it goes away. It just started on Friday when I closed my tailgate. It did it one more time this weekend. I put the truck in neutral and then back into drive and it went away.
Thanks

Don't rule out the sub so quickly. I have removed my sub and sold it to another (f150online member). One thing i did notice is that the power to the sub can remain on even with the key off. I tried to use the the power source from the plug at the sub for my remote wire for my new amp, and it would never turn off. So you might want to unplug your amp/sub to make sure...
Yes, just in case there is a short internally in the sub. I'm not sure that the sub powers down completely. This way you can rule the sub out completely. You might have to unbolt the sub to get at the plug . It's really easy..
Any idea why it would go away when I change gears???
Literally happened to me while I was driving down the road. Put it in neutral and then back to drive, and it went away.
Thanks again

you also have a jack under the other seat....also make sure your seatbelts aren't loose and vibrating against the door.....i usually have my seatbelts (back seat) stuffed between the seat and the door so they can't move. not sure about the sub mentioned, good luck. i know i hate anything that makes noises that shouldn't! LOL

I will for sure take a look at everything.
It stay's at a certain volume. It doesn't go up with the stereo, nor does it go down.
Thanks
smokestone, this happened to me when my battery was on the brink of dying... like an annoying buzz/click sound coming from the region of the elec. slider motor- after driving for about 20 mins it would go away, but not til then... since i have replaced my battery it hasn't done it

exactly what i said, but when it turned cold (15 deg F) here in october (which was 4.5 mos from purchase) it did it- battery was struggling to start the truck left and right- even with the block heater plugged in it struggled - didnt even want to start arguing with ford on that one, so just went and bought a new 1000 cca battery and went on with life.
Do you have something aftermarket plugged into your truck? Like an auxiliary power source of some sort? I had a power wire running for a PS2 in my truck and it was causing the same problem. I unhooked the PS2 power source and it went away

I also had a battery drain (my own fault, electronics experiment) and had the same buzzing. I removed the rear seat and checked for the sound. I personally think it was coming from underneath the vehicle by the fuel pump. Recharged and ran and it was gone.
