Thanks to all who helped with the.....

Edge group purchase!! From the beta testers to Tical, Nicky and others - I'm REALLY enjoying the improved powerband of my truck now. This is how it should have come from the factory!! Yesteday, I was demonstrating it to my brother who also has an '05 Lariat SCREW 4x4 and he couldn't belive the diff. He's not a "gearhead" like me and generally keeps his vehicles stock - but the Edge certainly sold him yesterday. It was amazingly easy to revert my truck back to stock and upload the Edge programming on his truck then back again....this product is so easy to use!!

Another thing I wanted to address are some of the Other Tuners vs Edge comments....I had not purchased a tuner earlier because there were some of the F-150's with the AF1 intake throwing CEL's....(that may be fixed now) but I didn't want to have my truck at the mercy of CEL's and having to disconnect/reconnect the battery or visit a dealer or deal with downloading revised tuning programs over the internet every time it threw a code....not the kind of hassle I'm looking for. I even had to pay an extra $50.00 to get the cable for my XCalibrator so I could connect it to my PC (on my Mustang tuner setup).....Edge included the USB cable!! Keep in mind these are heavy trucks and while I understand the desire to get every ounce of performance out of them - they will never really be fast - and are not meant to be drag cars anyways.....I may be in the minority here - but I'm very satisfied with the Edge unit and tunes.....perfect compromise of additional performace while still maintaing a safe "operational range" for the engine and the ease of use and flexibility of the tuner itself can't be matched by any of the other tuners.....I smile every time I drive my truck now - with the powertrain programming fixed (shame on you Ford) it IMO is the best truck out there. And changing programs on the fly - it just doesn't get any better than this!

I couldnt agree more. This is how Ford should have programmed the truck in the first place.

I would hold off on the edge thingy for a while and wait till theres more feedback. I have talked to "BIGBLACKFX4" and he has just bought the edge and i have the Troyer Tuned Xcal2. He has ridden in my truck and he said his is faster than stock, but not like mine... So i would wait until i see the cold hard facts. We are going to line them up when we get a chance to see who's is faster.

As long as you both have the same truck, with same rear gear and tires. Otherwise a waste of time except to just have fun.
