I would LOVE to see some dyno results comparing the two. Until then I am leaning way towards the Troyer tuned XcalII. I am just still saving my lunch money......

I ordered my edge on Dec 31/05, so I missed the group buy. No big deal. except now it's the 9th and the thing still hasnt shipped. I'm considering canceling my order. How long did it take others to get their unit?

THANKS Thumper!! My intent was simply to share my satisfaction with the Edge unit I purchased and not to bash anyone or any other tuner....I'm not looking to have the fastest truck out there - just want a decent powerband....if Ford would have programmed this thing right from the get go - I wouldn't even be considering a tuner....and I believe it's been demonstrated that the Troyer Tune does bring a bit more performance out of the 54.L - as his process takes into account many more variables than the Edge tune - but, again, I'm not looking to drag race my truck (that's what my "05 Mustang GT is for ) I simply want an "honest powerband" - shoot I haven't even tried the Edge 91 0ctane tune yet - the 87 is sooooo much better than the stock Ford programming - I'm having fun just driving that! Next tank of gas though, I will try the 91 and see what the diff is.

Hey Blair - I'd give them a call - might have been messed up with the Holidays....also, they are starting another special coupon for those who missed the group purchase....it will be almost as good as the deal we got....go to their web site this Wednesday and you will be able to get the coupon code - it will be running for one week only!

HOTLAP,
I am with you 100%..I bought my truck so i can tow my 24' boat. Not to race. The extra performance along with the display is what sold me on this.I am currently running the tow tune (#2) I dont really care about xtra horses between 2 tuners. This one woke up my truck enough for MY liking. I dont even plan on changing any of the tunes.I like my canned tuna the way it is.

We are going to line them up when we get a chance to see who's is faster.
Well I just got done installing my volant CAI and doing some adjusting to the level 3 tune,...I think the race just got closer. Man the Volant is awesome. The truck just screams. I am really not looking to be drag racing my truck but with the edge and my new flowmaster the truck seemed to be starving for oxygen. Now it has plenty.
I do agree, FX4ME2's truck is faster than mine with the programs in the edge, but with the ability to customize so much I think we can make them very comparable.
Bring it on Mike.

Whoo-ee, I'd buy it just for the display, if it were cheaper.
I have money to burn lately so i would have spent another $100 for this. This just happens to suit my likeing better than the x-calibrator.Same reason i bought the FX4 over a lariat or KR...I can afford them but i wanted the FX4.
Sometimes i wonder why i even entertain the sarcasm

The display is the only reason I wanted one...I never cared about a tuner until I saw this unit. I could careless is my truck runs a 16 sec or a 15.5 sec 1/4 mile...both are slow compared to most cars on the road. IMO bragging either one is like bragging about banging a fat chick...a 275 pounder is really not any better than a 300 pounder!

Nice fatherly advice. I will certainly pass that on to my son.
