josiah, i dont think it was the water that damaged your fuse, jusnes modified uses the same controllers on their kits, and i noticed on mine the other day that the fuse was a little melted. i think the problem lies within the included fuse holder with the kit, it must not be up to snuff. im going to change that fuse holder out and see if that helps with the problem. since you have to change yours anyway, lets see what comes of it. i figure since the fuse didnt blow before it, well, "blew", it must be resistance within the fuse holder itself

I have to agree. No offense though. I was just like you when I was your age. I used to beat the **** out of every vehicle. Something is going to break sooner or later.
When I was 18 I bought a truck and while I was out for the test drive with my buddy I stopped in the middle of the road and did a monster power brake. We were laughing like hell beating up this truck. I took it back to the dealership and somehow ended up taking it home.
Anyway I know this has nothing to do with your problem at hand but everytime I read one of your posts it reminds me of crap I used to do.
Keep the good stories (and burnout videos) coming!!

Craig, I have to say I am glad there are people like us and glad someone on here enjoys the video's. Take care

Brew & SoundPer4mance, I'll do just that and I'll revive this post if it happens again.

I haven't posted it, nobody wants to hear my stuff anymore, seems to get everyone worked up and they start bringing age up [young and stupid, etc] :\ I was out wheelin with a buddy and his Jeep (see my gallery), and another guy in a colorado. It was dark and I came over a levi, it was an irrigation ditch, I turned my lights off because we were getting the heck outta there, the only reason someone would flee (this is why I didn't post it...bring on the age crap), and I slammed onto some sort of concrete fixture, nearly got stuck on it, huge bang. I have a huge scratch from it and a bent tailpipe, was actually glad when I saw the complete damage. I need a big wrench for a temp fix, any ideas I will welcome using household items to bend it back. I'm going to replace them if nobody buys the system, it's all fine, just that one tip. I'll take pics soon enough, will give you law abiders another reason to talk crap.

And yeah, I may have bad luck and I may bring it upon myself, but for what it's worth, I'm a respectful guy and I mean no harm (thats why I damage my own crap).

Thanks Brew, I'll keep my drama-filled escapades upon request though, seems they're not welcome here by some.

Take care guys.

Yall are kinda brutal. So his install is suspect you say. My fuse is expose but I do not do any type of off road or water sporting in it. I am considering covering it though.

Nah Maybe Not

Now that I think about it. If the fuse gets wet then the worse thing would be that it would just blow. Should not burn up like that. That seems indicative of some other type problem. What do yall think??????

Yeah, I'm okay with having a belt driven fan on my truck.

Lightbulb Yeah probably the fuse holder.........

I remember Flex A Lite had some fuse holders that were burning up back when I first installed my fans. The sent out replacement holders to everyone.
