Turbonator

Has anyone tried a turbonator on a 2005 5.4?
I am wondering if it will realy help gas mileage.
When I am towing my lightning I am only getting about 13 MPG.

Normally, I'd scream "Snake oil!" but I've never used one of those Turbonator-Tornady thingies, so I don't have anything to say. A friend of mine actually uses a Tornado in his 3.0 liter Ranger and swears by it, so take that for what it's worth. (ie, not a whole lot)

The big deal that the makers are making with these things are that they create a vortex going down the intake! SO, guess what happens when that vortex hits the air filter, it flattens out! Wasted $50

To me, it seems that anything that you put into your air intake will only restrict the air flow... thus making it harder for air to enter your engine...

Waste of money

waste of money, do a search on here i think one of the magazines(consumer reports or something) tested all those gimmickes somebody posted a link to the site, it was very informative, but yes it ssaid all those tornados, turbonators, throttle body spacers, feul atomizers, were a bunch of junk and cost you HP instead of making it, good luck

Finally someone you says what the real problem with these POS things are. Also, enen if it doesnt have the filter in the way, once it gets to the intake plenum, and goes into the intake maniflod ports, the air is still going to stop swirling.
