I figured someone had done this by now to an F150, searched but found nothing. Anyway I learned about this when I had my Ranger. You connect the sidemarker light to the turn signal with a short jumper and its makes your side marker flash, giving you an extra turn signal, plus it looks cool. I've posted 2 links explaining this I just can't figure out which wires on my f150 are +\-. Somebody help me out and make this work.

EDIT: Oh and just in case anybodys wondering about this affecting bulb life, I ran my ranger like this for almost 2 years before totalling it and never had to replace a bulb.

I dont have any, I havn't even looked at my truck to see what color they are. I will tommorrow though IF it quits raining long enough. I was just sittin here bored and thought about this.

The indicator flasher relay receives its power in ON/START through circuit 1039 (BK/YE). The indicator flasher relay provides power to the multifunction switch through circuit 44 (LB), which provides power to the turn signal lamps depending on the position of the multifunction switch. When the multifunction switch is placed in the RH position, current flows from the multifunction switch to the RH front turn signal and signal mirror (if equipped) through circuit 2 (WH/LB) and to the RH rear turn signal through circuit 5 (OG/LB). When the multifunction switch is placed into the LH position, current flows from the multifunction switch to the LH front turn signal and signal mirror (if equipped) through circuit 3 (LG/WH) and to the LH rear turn signal bulb through circuit 9 (LG/OG). Circuit grounds for the indicator flasher relay and each turn signal bulb are accomplished through grounding circuit 57 (BK). The timed on/off cycle is determined in the indicator flasher relay and is set to flash approximately 80 times per minute if both the front and rear indicators operate. If only one turn signal lamp operates, the indicator flasher relay will flash approximately 160 times per minute.

Thanks... that is just what i need. It may take me a few days but I will figure this out. I work nights so I sleep almost all day and what time I am awake during daylight hours is usually spent doing more important stuff. I'll post something when I figure it out.

OK....can't confirm till in the morning BUT going by Klassic's info I'm thinkin you cut the (I'm assuming) black ground wire on the lefthand sidemarker and tap it to the light green/white wire on the lefthand side turnsignal
Black ground (still assuming its black) on right hand side cut and jumped onto white/light brown wire on right hand turn signal.
Should work, I'm off work tommorrow so I'll try it and let you guys know what happens

It seems to me if the marker lights have a constant +12v and you tap the ground to the +12v on the blinker you will blow the bulb with +24v.....NO?
Maybe it is different in DC?? I don't know.
My thought.....
If you were to cut the +12v side of the marker light and hook it up to terminal 30 and 87a on a relay and tap into the +12v on the blinker and hook it up to 85...put 86 to ground. Then it would stay lit and flash when the blinker flashed.
To understand the relay terminals you would have to know how those Bosch relays work...then you would know what the hell I was talking about.
And I would look for the wires in the dash, so there will be no corrosion.

12 + 12 from the same source doesn't = 24.
I'm waiting to see if it works too.

, I'm pretty sure the way The Edge is describing the wiring method isn't going to work.

Seems to me, the only way for the marker light to stay lit AND flash with the blinker is to use a relay...like I described.
Try the relay Pinecone.

Well, I've lost myself now....
I drew a schematic of it with a relay and the marker light will only flash when the lights are on, and an opposite flash to the blinker.
Perhaps not the desired effect.
I think this would be a cool mod...but why no input from anyone else??
