The bed extender was a SuperCrew option, which came out in 01.

Only recently has it worked on a 6.5' bed. Do you have a place to mount the bolt on the 99?

I have a 2006 Lariat Supercrew that has three holes on each side. The stiker W707381-S900 doesn't fit in the hole...it's too big. I tried using a tap and die set to make threads. It worked...kind of. It got pretty tight, but cross threaded right at the last minute. It's still quite snug. I am holding off doing the other side to see if there is a better method. Anyone else have to make the threads?

You'd probably get a better response if you didn't raise a 7 year old thread from the dead. The strikers should self-thread I believe, it just takes some muscle to get it going.

The strikers are supposed to cut their own threads? Like a self tapping screw?
