OK, I just checked out the side exit. You might want to check into it, because it's the legal version. Or atleast that's all that they list on the website for the side exit. And it even says in the product description.......

"The ROUSH dual exit side exhaust kit has an aggressive sound, but is similar to the sound level from a stock exhaust system."

So, if your wanting louder, then I'm not exactly sure that's the route you want to go. Unless they have it in the off road version and just don't have it listed on the site.

well, i now know for sure im swapping out my exhaust in the beginning of the year!!! they sound great!
i didnt see where it was asked, but unlike the flowmaster wich does nothing or takes some horse power away, does the "offroad" exhaust add or take away hp?

Well, I was going to get the exhaust. My Roush dealership said they were on backorder for 4-6 weeks.

I might just buy some HD headlights and grille and do exhaust later.

Let me ask you this....you touched on it earlier. But just slightly....

About the drone inside the cab....I'm really wanting to make sure it's not excessive. Reason being, my wife drives the truck to work everyday and I'm sure all married men understand when I say....I don't want to hear her complain all the time and me have to sell it and buy something quieter.

Are you married? If so, what does your wife think of the drone? If not, do you think it will be something a woman would complain about??

Thanks

definitely not married lol- 23. well, what do you consider excessive? when the truck is idling, or you are cruising steady down the highway, you have very little noise- if your're looking for it, sure you can hear the rumble- when you accelerate, yea, you're going to hear it big time- if your wife listens to her radio, and has it a normal volume, the drone shouldn't bother her at all-
i will take my truck out on the highway and get a clip of the interior sound thru my digital camera-

Thanks brother. I appreciate it. I would love it no matter what. I just don't want to have to deal with complaining.

And about the radio part....well, she listens sometimes...but she likes to talk on the phone alot when driving, so the radio is down a good bit.

okay- so i made a couple of recordings, but the mic on the camera couldn't pick it up- but did pay attention to what my truck sounds like:

at 2k rpm (which is roughly a 55-60 steady cruise) you cant hear it- (she could carry on her cell conversation without annoyance) if she gets a little road rage at the soccer-mom in the caravan in front of her, and gives it some gas- she, and the soccer mom are gonna hear it .- at a cruise of 75-80 there is a little drone, but again, not enough that she'd have to pull over to tell betty about her wild night at the casino- accel up to 2.5k rpm or steady holding uphill 25-30 mph gives the most noticeable in-cab drone- personally i love hearing it and turn the radio down to hear that sweet sound, but she may wish to turn up the radio--unless you married a truck girl who would also appreciate hearing the deep rumble of that 4x8x10 muffler-

to make a long story short- get it, you wont regret it.
