If it ain't broke, don't break it.

Sorry to hear about that Josiah, but these are the kinda storys that have steared me clear of E-Fans. Until I hear of a kit that has no problems then ill look into them. I wouldn't want to always be having to worry about my cooling systm failing, or controllers burning out. But hope everything goes well with the flexalites Josiah

Post My $.02

The Troyer controllers have been written up in other threads.......... Those potentiometers are DELICATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only a little tweak is required.............DO NOT get carried away twisting a pot. You electronoc techs out there know what I'm talking about.
PROPER plug & pin removal requires a PIN EXTRACTION TOOL! Not a pair of needlenose pliers,a sure way to ***k up your wiring. Slow down & do it right.
As far as the fan mounting hardware.........'nuff said. I will go with the Flexalite shroud msde for the F-150.

I have a 4.6L Screw and want all the power I can get. Reading these posts make we want to stay away as well. Maybe it would be good for some weekender toys but I have my truck as a primary travelling vehicle and I don't need it down for some fried controllers etc.. Also if the controllers are frying and the dealer wont work with/or back up the product, gotta try another kit.

Thanks for the OP and follow up.

Surely depends on the pot we are talking about. Some pots are way more durable than others. Sounds like they used a little circuit board jobby.
