Side mirror removal.

Well my truck is only a couple of months old and my passenger side mirror is broken. Got a new one from the dealership.
Any tricks or tips on getting the old one off?
It looks like the door panel has to come off. The whole door panel.
Is that correct? If so, does the door panel come off pretty easily?

Thanks

Been awhile since I installed the LT mirrors - but yes you do have to remove the door panels....really not too bad. Besides the obvious screws/nuts - there are a few hidden...one is beneath the inside door handle bucket - you will see a small panel that pops out - insert a small flathead screwdriver into the slot along the top edge and it pops right out. There is another screw beneath the armrest panel....it is attached with clips and pops out as well...once you have these screws out there are two or three along the bottom of the door and then you pull up and out on the door panel to remove it. There will be a cable between the back of the inside door handle and the door - you don't need to remove it - just prop the door panel up until you are ready to reinstall. Almost forgot about the front speaker - you will need to pop off the grey speaker grill and remove the 4 speaker screws and the speaker prior to removing the panel....there are 4 white plastic screw anchors (where the speaker screws attach) some remove these - but I was able to slide the door panel over them without removing the anchors. The process is much easier than it sounds here - take your time and once you remove the 1st door panel it's pretty easy from there on out.....also, if you ever need to remove the rear door panels.....the rear speaker grills DO NOT pop out - you don't need to remove them or the rear speakers to remove the rear door panels.

Good luck!!

Just remove the bottom 2 white anchors, it makes it alot easier to slide the door panel back on.
