New Toolbox Yesterday....

After a year I finally got a toolbox for my truck yesterday. I went with the low profile cross-over type in black.

There are some pics in my gallery.

Thanks!

That's the reason it has taken me so long to get one.

Black or silver? Crossover or chest? High or low profile?

On that dark gray truck you got, silver/aluminum would look sharp. My neighbor has a SuperDuty with that color and he has a silver UWS box with rails around the lid. Looks good.

Looks really nice!

I have the regular across the bed one and have been really leaning towards the lo pro one. I might have to bite the bullet and buy one now.

I was just looking at the same thing yesterday. I'm leaning toward the low pro in black also. My brother just put one on his truck and it looks sharp. Delta Champion makes one thats really nice. What kind is yours? Can't decide if I want the gull wing or the low pro though. Delta makes a really clean looking box in both styles. The gull wing doesnt' come in the low pro because the latches are on the side though. Decisions...decisions...

Think the treadbrite bed & tailgate caps would be too much w/a chrome box?
I think it would look good. Before they started powder coating these boxes everyone had that same setup you mentioned above; and the dark gray of the truck and the silver of the box and rails will make a nice contrast.

Silver or black, I don't think you can go wrong and either would look good; it's just personal prefference.

Hey sterusmall, how much did you pay for it and where did you get it. I was thinking earlier about how my truck would look with a black toolbox and after seeing yours I'm gonna have to get one sooner or later.

Professor:

I got it from a local tire shop. (Big T Tire in Avon Park, FL) It was $300 plus tax and they installed it.

I'll get some better pics later this week with good light and no flash. I took the ones already posted at night and in my garage so there is a lot of glare.
