Window Tinting Time

Does anyone know how long it would take to tint a truck Completley. A full four door with an eyebrow and the back glass?

Are you looking at doing it yourself or a tint shop?

Doesn't the "full four door" (Screw) come with rear windows and glass tinited from the factory? Are you looking at tinting over the "smoked" factory glass?

I'm not sure how long it'd take a "full four door" truck but I've had several sedans done and it's taken at least a couple of hours to complete. Maybe a member who tints for a living can answer your question . . . .

Had all windows in my SCab tinted and it took the two guys less than an hour from start to finish. Mine was the only vehicle that they were working on (i got there just after they opened) so I didn't have to wait at all.

BTW the total cost was about $180.00 and that included a full 3 years warranty on the product and repair for any rips, tears, and bubbles.

i had my four doors done. went 35% fronts and 35% over the factory. This is the same setup on had on my explorer and it was a pain to see out the back window at night so I opted not to do the back window on my truck (its already factory tinted) but the more I look at it and think about it.. i may take it back and have it done.

I think it took about an hr... i dropped it off though and picked it up after work so not really exactly sure

I have a 2 door and had the 4 side windows to match the rear tint. Took about an hour.

Trucks are actually easier to do than cars because of the very simple angle of the glass.

Hatchbacks usually take the longest because the large, very curved surface is difficult to lay out in one sheet without have crinkles, bubbles, etc...

A decent tint shop can do the back glass and all four side windows in less than 2 hours and if they charge you more than $175-$180 you've been ripped off.

Had my Screw done with 15% on the 4 windows, back glass (no slide), and the front strip in about 2 hours. He charged me $150.

This was the 1st mod done and is usually the 1st thing I do on all of my vehicles.
