Best/Worst Mod For Our Trucks

Best Mod:
Troyer E-fan's, removing the stock fan removed about a 1/2 second off my 0-60. Video coming soon. I also really like my Magnaflow SIDO exhaust although there was no noticeable gain.

Worst Mod:
Ceramic Pads, the brand I had put on are total crap, there is no improvement from before, and they still squeak, They are worse if you ask me. I spent $200 to have them put on my front and I could have gotten the porterfields for 100, what a shame. I guess the turning of the rotors is what stopped me from doing it myself.

Best-N-Worst

Best: Ditching the original shocks and tires. Getting Bilstein Shocks and Nitto Terra Grappler's.

Worst: Cheap looking dealer installed bug shield on front of hood. So loose it sounded like a paranoid schizophrenic on crack locked up in a room full of Neil Peart clones. They used the cheap plastic push in plugs to hold the thing. I took the time to do it right and now it's fine.

On an 05 XL 4 x 4, have added XLT wheels, new tires, power locks, Audiophile head unit, cruise control, and power windows.

Best - extremely pleased with all of them.

Worst, love the windows, hated installing them Autoloc's instructions were awful and one of the rocker switches was defective. Wish I'd gone with a different brand. Hope I will like the windows enough to overcome the aggravation of the install. If not, I'll recover through alcoholism.

Best: Rancho 9000 adj's, Magnaflow, Bedcover, Line-X, Bed Extender, bed mat, K&N, (soon to add the Troyer Xcal2 and 33's)

Worst: I do not like my billet grille, and the dodge 4x4 emblems were stupid of me to do (they are gone now) Nothing else so far.

Good call on that..

For me: The best / favorite: Skyjacker 3" lift and Ebay OEM leather swap w/ heaters.
Worst: If I must pick one, it would be my AVS Bugshield, its a little warped.

I have to add that the Audiophile w/Subwoofer is a great addition to my F150, the bass is very clean. It's the best stock system I've heard, and much better than the 350W Rockford Fosgate option in the Titan, I don't even think it has a subwoofer (didn't sound like it when I was driving).

I agree, with my Factory Audiophile system I still haven't found the upper volume "limit" yet.

Not that it matters but I used to design, engineer, and install $500,000+ Concert systems that would literally make your eyeballs vibrate so bad it was impossible to focus your eyes... and I am extremely impressed with the factory Audiophile system.

BUT, to be fair I am also not a kid any longer and don't have the need to shake my neighbors house a mile away when I listen to music :-)

Oh, just to keep on topic..

Best Mods - Getting an FTX that already had almost everything I wanted installed and under factory warranty for 7 years. Additional best mods, Aftermarket Reverse system, Roadmaster Active Suspension, Mark LT Shift Handle (thanks guys), Fogs on Hig Beam Mod (thanks again guys), Mark LT Ebony Leather Instrument cluster cover upgrade, and a hidden white LED light for my ashtray!

Worst Mods - None...... yet!
