Fuel Pressure Gauge Help

Has anyone installed a Fuel Pressure Gauge on their truck?? Theres no access ports on our fuel rails so i was wondering how you go the pressure probe into the fuel system. i already tried an adapter made for the 05 Mustang but i guess the fuel rails are different because it didn't fit...if anyone has any info please let me know!!
Thanks

Adrian

There's an adapter in the '04+ F150 service kit shipped to dealers that installs inline of the lines going to the fuel rail that has a schrader valve on it to check fuel pressure. That's about the only way you'll be able to hook a fuel pressure gauge up to these trucks. Mine is at work, I'll get the number off it if you want tomorrow.

It's an OTC tool, #310-122. Any place that sells OTC stuff should be able to order it for you.

Heres what I did

Well it was hard to get those tools and it probably would have been expensive...so i went and bought some brass fittings...sealing them with Petroleum grade Teflon and thread lock....cut about a 2" gap into the fuel line at the fuel rail and inserted my homemade T-tap, securing it with hose clamps...have about 5K miles on it with no leaks, and a working fuel pressure gauge!

What kind of gauge are you using Gman? Any pics of this? And also Quintin....I can't locate that tool number on the OTC tools website but I found the Domestic Fuel injection kit and it has what looks like what you need in it. That little thinggie to the far right in the middle. Can you get that seperately? Is that what part #310-122 is?

I'm kinda short for time right now, I'll take some pictures of the OTC adapter when I get home tonight. I bought a MAC fuel pressure gauge set, and I think it has an adapter to tee into lines without schrader valves too, I'll get a picture of that thing also.

Edit - Like the slacker I am, I forgot both my adapters at work. Pictures coming soon(er, or later).
