dual exhaust info/help

I am debating on what exhaust to get, I have always routed my exhaust out like an L. I would like a dual out the back set up but havent see too many 04-05 models with them. I have only seen 2 or 3 other newer F150s with them. I know there was a write up in the exhaust forum which was very helpfull, now I am looking for more pics and some more feed back on how they are holding up after time, do they stay level or do they droop over time. Especially the hangers that have to be hung on the drivers side. I ask because I have seen some others that tend to hang lower than what I would like, is there a way to modify this so they stay tight up or closer to the bumper.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
M V

I think the '05 trucks have some sort of vibration dampener that prevents you from getting dual tips out the back to hang real close to the bumper.

This is the Magnaflow SIDO on my 2005. So far so good. No droop and no vibration dampener in the way.

See my gallery for more pics.

That's not my truck. That is a picture of another members' truck. Do a search for camaro tips and I think it was the second or third one that came up. I just used that picture to prove my point.

I have duals out the back on mine....here's a pic, but it's not the greatest...I had tips welded onto the pipes and they sit really close to the bumper....
Click pic for larger image....sorry for poor pic quality.

Thanks guys for all the quick responses, I appreciate it

FX4andHarley,
sweet truck, great pics to. Did you install it yourself, I was looking through your gallery and saw the hangers, were they the ones included in the kit. What part number is your exhaust?

StainlessWorks.net has those Camaro style tips.

Thanks again

Yes I did the install myself in my garage on jack stands. The part number for my truck is 16615 because I have a Regular Cab. I got the system from “hottexhaust.com”. Use discount code “fordtruck8” to get a big discount. The hangers are the ones that came in the kit, I just rounded off the corners then primed and painted them black for a cleaner look. Check out the thread “Lovin my Magnaflow” for more details.

No problems with drooping/settling here. Borla, Magnaflow, Flowmaster ... it's all good.

This has to be the hardest thing I've had to do on my truck. I can't make up my mind, they're is soo many choices. I just called a shop around town and they said they could do a Flowmaster with dual corner exit with slant cut tips for $325. Im just not sure how loud it will be, I really don't think I'd lose any bottom end either seeing how the truck has 4 cats. What do you guys think? I was also wondering about true duals? Anybody done it yet?

Thanks for the part #, thats the same one I ordered. I ordered mine from PerformancePeddler.com. Pretty slick idea with the hangers. I was going to use some Epoxy primer we have in my shop to clean up mine. I will check that thread out to.

Tell me about it, I have been going nuts trying to figure out what to get. I have had great luck with Magnaflow, plus I love how they sound. So I am sticking to them. You should look around for some sound clips to get an idea of what other exhausts sound like and pick the one you like.
Good Luck

Thanks again guys

Im going to just get the Flowmaster 40 SI/DO with slant cut tips corner exit. I talked the guy down to $250 and he does some good work.
