I got my procharger on my truck a few weeks ago and i love the power its making...i love it so much i want more!!! (who doesn't?) So what i am asking is what else can be done to these 5.4L 3V engines?? Forged pistons? Cams? Heads? What else is out there that will produce more, if anything??

 

Before you do that, put on some headers and true dual exhaust. Is your truck custom tuned? Do that too! BTW, how fast is she runnin'?

Change gears,


Then change out the engine internals to strong parts and throw on a Larger Intercooler and Up the Boost!

 

bigger MAF?? new injecters....hmm......ya well most of its been said already

 

DUnno about pistons.. Ive been looking into that... But, the Lincoln Navi's have 4 valve heads.. maybe someone could comment about swapping those heads over to the 3 valves..

Cams. Who knows... I dont think anybody is ready to put cams in yet.

Did you not get new injectors with the ProCharger?

How is the high RPM range? Is it leaning out?

Any problems?

Did you upgrade to a new fuel pump?

How much boost? another guy was running a 12# pully on his '04 Procharged truck.

I'm not familiar with the procharger set up. Do they come with intercoolers? If it doesnt come with an intercooler I would deffinitely get one. After installing that, I would do a true dual exhaust set up. After exhaust, get a custom tune and change the pulley system. Maybe run around 8-10 psi. When i say get a custom tune, dont order a tune from someone in a different state...Doing that is absolutely pointless. You need to tune that truck on a dyno. You have to remember every truck is different, so buying a tune from someone else isnt exactly going to be the best for you.

Once I complete all these mods on my Roush set up, I should be pushing out more than 400rwhp at my elevation, which is around 6,000ft.

You have to remember, once you get all that power you are going to have to figure out how to put that power to the ground, which might include getting some et street tires and doing some suspension work.
