Question F250 coil springs for F150????

Would the coil springs for the front of a 2005 F250 work for the 2005 F150? or is there a significant difference in the diameter or suspension components??
thanks.

No, they are two completely different suspension systems and nothing will interchange. The F-150 has IFS with coilover shocks. The Super Duty uses a solid axle with coil springs.

I got a heavy bumper and winch and would like to have some stronger springs for the front. Kind of like the guys that are running snow plows on their trucks.????

Using the springs from an F150 with the heavy payload package would probably be your only bet, unless one of these 4x4 lift companies makes 'em. I dunno how that'd affect your current ride height either.

I have the heavy payload package on my 2004 f-150. It will sit 1" higher than stock I believe. My front end is 1" lower than the rear! 4X4...... Just a thought but if any of the guys on this site have installed the 3" skyjacker kift kit and originally had the heavy payload package they would have the springs laying around the garage.

I didn't think of checking the classifieds> Thanks. Although I am curious If I get a 6" lift kit, does it not come with new springs? And wouldn't they be stronger??, thanks

i don't think any of the lifts come with springs, When i put in my fabtech had to switch springs over to longer struts.

Here is SVTEricks pic of the difference in coils from factory to Skyjacker 3". Might work for what you need, just don't put the rear add-a-leaf in, which would raise up the back 2 inches. Cheapest I have seen is Summit for $578.00

First off, both Fabtech and Pro Comp have coil overs for the front that DO come with springs. Of course, these are both 6" lifts. Second, As the picture shows, the 3" Skyjacker has the much larger coils. Third, the rear add-a-leafs do in fact raise the rear 2+" along with the platinum series shocks. I sent you a couple of e-mails, the second might be interesting to you.
