Got my 2006 Front Bumper Today

Received the bumper after waiting two weeks, it was killin me! I have the bumper, painted in primer black, and also the 4X2 lower valance. Bolts are NOT included, luckily I hit scorpio333 for my old ones, thanks again bro! I wanted the harley valance but it's 250 bucks, unpainted. I'll have to wait on that one. It's VERY nice though, saw one in person when we were in Charlotte visiting my parents. It's a bit deeper than the normal valence and looks wicked. Maybe in the spring I'll get it. Fog lamps are due here on Monday. I am going to retro fit, then pull for painting. I'll snap some pics once the retro-fit is complete. Not the best pic, but it's cold out and warm in the garage

When you say primered black, does that mean we would have to paint it glossy black?

Yes and cleared as well. There's grey primer and black primer, and maybe others. This one just happens to be black primer.

Are you not going to reuse your tow hooks? Want to sell them? I asume you already got rid off your black 04 bumper?

I got most of my parts in and bumper should be on my truck by mid next week.
Do you know if I am going to be able to use my old clips bolts etc.. from my old bumper? or will I need to buy some? The fog light clips into a bracket and it swivles up and down, it has some type of set screw on the back. Would you know how it locks in place? Thanks for any info you may have.

Hmmm...definitely different lights that came on my '06. Mine don't have the "flutes" (deflectors?) that yours has. Given how **** poor mine function, I'm thinking that the flutes can do anything but help.

That should be your adjustment for your lights. Once you get them installed and hooked up, you can adjust them for alignment with those.

FX4&E,
Congrats on the bumper. Are you painting it or having it done? Keep the pic coming!!

Yes, I re-used my hardware, but the bolt holes on the 06 bumper are a little tight for the bolts, you'll have to impact them in or muscle them in with your socket wrench. Haven't got the fog lights yet, so not should about the installation yet. I'll let you know how mine turn out!

Bumper and hooks sold long ago. Gotta find a way to pay for these mods!
