2006 question

I installed the 2 inch spacer above the strut kit and today I had the 33x12.50-17mt put on my 17x9 wheels. It looks great and no rubbing anywhere. So I ask them to align my front end and they looked at it and tell me I have to buy a special kit so they can adjust the caster. Is this something that anyone else with the 2006 year had to buy? Its a 2wd.

I had the dealer align my front end and I was told if the caster is in spec. you don't have to buy the kit. I believe it is some shims or something. Mine was OK, so maybe you can get by with out buying the kit. I have an FX4 but this should hold true for your truck.

Post pics please. I had the 2" spacer installed yesterday and no kit was needed. Mine is a 2005 Lariat 4x4 screw. Original wheels and tires. Man, does it look tall now. I need to measure buy I swear the front is 1/4" taller than the rear. I'll take a pic and post later today, we can compare the two.

I have not heard of having to get a kit for caster adjustment, but I do know you must buy an eccentric bolt kit to have the camber adjusted.

It's the Tow In that needs to be set. Take your truck somewhere else....
