Hello,

I am in the military and currently out of town. I have an 05 FX4. I just talked to my wife and she said that all the guages just quit working. Radio doesn't work, powerwindows don't work. The interior lights are dim and the air bag light for the driver stays lit all the time. I told her to hold the trip odomter in and then turn the key on to reset the gauges but that didn't work either. Has anyone ever had this problem? We just got a foot of snow and that is her main transportation. Didn't know if there was an easy fix or if this would be a dealer issue. Also, without the gauges working would that be justification for the dealer to have to come and pick it up?

Does the truck start? Battery maybe?

 

Truck starts fine. She is afraid to drive it anywhere because who knows what will happen.

 

The only thing I can think of is that it'd might be a short....Whatever the case I would call the dealer your truck is most likely still under warranty and sounds like good grounds for a rental best of luck. Hopefully some electrical gurus can chime in and help you out.
