Unfortunately you must be a licensed driver for 4-5 years in order to be even considered for a quote. But thanks for the offer. I won't lose my truck nor my license as far as I know. I have some pull with the law enforcement side of things so as long as it isn't too serious I usually get away with something that most wouldn't. Back to the license & truck revokation, it is smogged (got it last week), but it still has indiana plates as you'll see in the video's I post (just posted another one tonight in this forum). I have to pay a fee of $1750 to register the damn truck, which is yet again, rape. My insurance quotes are even more of a hole stretcher and you'll see why when you open my gallery.

In California they will take the truck if you are stopped for anything.
They will keep the truck.
Insurance is required.
Driving with out of state tags is a minor crime, but they impound the truck for that.
Not insuring means that if someone hits you, you pay. You also lose your drivers license. Minimum time of one year.

Being a relative or friend of a cop does not help. The DMV is an independent operation, totally autonomous. The head of the local division of the DMV brags that even the governor can not overrule his little fiefdom.
It’s true.

I strongly recommend you get insurance. There are 50 companies selling insurance in California, even some for high risk drivers.
You bought more truck than you can afford, protect your investment.
And the rest of your life because if you are in a fender bender you will be paying for it for the next thirty years

I wasnt thinking of you or about your truck and the value of it....I am thinking of the poor person you might hit. Whos going to pay for their property loss/medical bills/and pain and suffering if that happens???

AS for being covered by the other persons insurance...I have NEVER heard of that unless he just didnt cancle the insurance on it and even then I am betting you would have had a hard time filing a claim. Now I have heard of YOUR insurance company covering you on a new purchase for 2 weeks but thats only if you are replacing a car currently insured with them or adding a new one to your policy.

Josiah,
If you were covered on your previous truck then you have a 30-day grace period for you old insurance coverage to cover your new truck. Just let your old company know the new info., write them a check, and you are finished

I wasn't implying that, read it again and you'll understand what I meant. I am being careful as not to hurt someone else. But don't worry about me hitting soemone else, if I was to hit someone and it be my fault, trust me, they'll be a happier person, if I was you I'd want to be hit by someone like myself. If you don't know what I mean, then just continue to be Mr. Mom, it really speeds up the DMV process.

No, I don't know what you mean. I dont care how careful you are accidents happen....look at your own gallery if you need proof of that. But I can see from your burnout videos, your 0-60 run videos, and your bragging about street racing you are be very careful (and don't forget you are also liable for passengers in the truck too not just other cars on the road). Liability suits and trial lawyers are no joke and I dont care how much of a trust fund you have that money would be gone and the rest of your life basically ruined. I don't care how you look at it its just plain stupid on your part to have that truck on the road without it being insured and there is no excuse or reason you can give to justify it.

Say what you want, but I never denied it isn't the wisest thing on my part. I am at least taking the initiative to get insured, like so many don't. I should be insured within the next couple of days.
