Nice job. It bet it finally feels good to finish up. I hate leaving things unsettled when it comes to my vehicles. I call it the UGLY DUCKLING stage. Where you pay as you go to complete your ride and meanwhile suffering to see it incomplete. Congrats.

Awesome job man!!!! Once you swap the steering column shroud, noone but you will know it didn't come from the factory like that....and you paid alot less too.

 

If I find one at a great price like you did, I’ll have to give it some serious thought. And I sure know who to call for advice.

 

Thanks again guys! Scorpio, your right about that, now I'll have dreams of 30 F150s in my driveway, wouldn't THAT be something! FX4, I'll keep my eye out on a dash for you! hehehehhe. My project will really be done, once I have the column shrouds (Shook, wanna sell me your black ones?) and the FX4 lighted insert that goes in my cluster where currently, the PRND21 indicator is. I'll have to check with Ford to see if they sell that by itself.

 

you have definitely got some cohones man. you could probably make a career out of this type of thing. think of the money people would save if they didn't have to trade in their trucks to upgrade. that money would go to you instead. awesome job.

I checked with my dealer for that FX4 insert in the cluster and was told that I had to buy the whole cluster. I don’t believe it, can’t believe they want to stock different clusters just for that, when the thing just pops out in two seconds. So I’m still looking. If you have any better luck with your dealer pick up one for me. I’m going to work on a custom piece that will say “FX4andHARLEY”.

 

That is just crazy. I've been searching myself, and heck, I'd be happy with a lariat one. I'm gonna check with my dealer on Monday and see what he says. If I can get one, I'll grab one for you too. I wish there was a totaled black flow-thru FX4 near me that I could just rape for parts, but I don't see that kind of luck happening soon! I did see an 03 King Ranch on ebay totaled and he's selling off all the parts. Someone will have fun with that!
