Alignment
Alignment
Went by my front end shop today to inquire about getting aligment w/autospring install. I had read that the toe in was all that had to be reset. However the shop said "if the toe changes, so will caster & camber. I have been using this guy for years & never known him to be anything but honest. He did say he would only adjust toe if that was all that it required. We're talking $44 vs $175 in alignment differences.
Any thoughts?

Toe should have no influence on caster, and little if any on camber, but camber can affect toe. But if you're just adding spacers, there shouldn't be any reason to adjust anything.

I had basically the same answer from my front-end guy. He says to do it right you need to do the whole thing and that shims were required to do the caster and camber. Quoted me $150.
I went to the dealer and their front-end guy said only toe was needed. So I went with the dealership for $45.
Have had no problems as yet with visible wear but I've only run about 2K miles.

I see that your truck is an 06 model year. You do know that your warranty will cover one free front end alignment with in the first 12,000. Check with a service advisor or Service Manager at a local dealer and see if they would do it under warranty, even though it is due to the autospring install. I would bet they will do it if you have a decent dealer.
