Silicone wiper blades

Has anyone tried these? Seen the PIAA and are supposed to be good but wanted some input. Getting to be winter out here, don't know if they work good on snow or should I just get the usual winter wiper blade?
Thanks

Silicone

I bought Silblades about two years ago. The winter ones with the extra frame cover. They are awsome. They are working like new and really keep the windscreen clean. So I presume most other brands will do ok too.

Wouldn't mess with them. I had tried them, and they worked good for the first couple times, then they started streaking the windshield (no bad, but just enough to get me agrivated). Then on a trip, had a trucker throw a rock into my windshield at night. Knew the windshield had been hit, but it was right below the passenger wiper, so I didn't see it until the next day. Anyway, to make a long story short, kept the same wiper blades when the windshield was replaced. The streaking continued, so I went back to the rubber blades. BS. What ever the silicone blades had deposited on the windshield still caused the rubber blades to not work 100%, and I couldn't even get the stuff with carburator cleaner (and thats some mean doo-doo).

I put on a set of the PIAA blades over a year ago, I love em. Absolutly no streaking and whatever it does to the windshield with the residue makes you not even need to turn the wipers on at all sometimes as the water beads up and rolls off by itself, like the Rain-X product does. I would go with the expensive ones (PIAA or Silbalde) tho not wallyworld brand ones

Thanks for the input, thought that being at altitude and high UV rays the silicone would last longer than the rubber.
