(it's a girl i just found out) At low volume it's almost undectable, but turn it up a little and it's REALLY clean. Not too much or too little. you can hear it outside the cab, but it won't annoy other motorists. Or more importantly, the police.
I have been told by just about all that heard it "are you sure thats stock?" Just my $.02
Thump, I am looking to sell mine soon if you want to wait. I'll sell you the complete setup for $450. It's of course used, and the display is lightly scratched, I'm being honest. Even at full crank, if the song is of good quality, the audio is crisp. The sub is really nice, I can hear it even at very low volume, I just prefer something a bit louder (speakerwise), and I'm getting the DDX8017 sometime soon. I won't be getting it uninstalled for a short time being though, until I do purchase the DDX8017. I just purchased the Nav unit for the Kenwood so all thats left is the Music Keg and the actual head unit.

Anyways, if you want to buy it from me, let me know, I'll take it all out for ya, it's all in great condition, it's just I already will be removing the head unit so might as well sell it all and upgrade everything (I might change my mind if nobody wants it for a good price), because I have been spending money like CRAZY. About $6k in a month on pure food and fun.

The rear speakers are the same as the regular setup. Be careful shipping that head unit, Josiah. They don't like rough handling.
