Tranny vibration

Hi guys. This is my first post so I'll try not to sound like a noob. I have an 04 FX4 w/5.4 and sometimes when I accelerate I feel a slight vibration throughout the truck. I don't know if it's normal or what. I can't tell if it's the tranny or maybe the rear end (a u joint or something). Anyone else experience this or know how to solve this potential problem?

I just experience the same problem. While coming home today from some Christmas shopping, it just all of a sudden started.
It's happen's when the truck shift's from 1st to 2nd. Its feel's like the tranny's skipping.

I heard that the pcm re-flash was fixing it

I heard about the re-flash also. But I thought that fixed the sluggish throttle response. It's got 19k on it so I should probably have that done anyway. But with all due respect I don't know if that will fix a tranny vibe.

It was either the vibe dampner or the reflash that was fixing it....but ive got a 60 lb. bag of concrete in the bed and its till there, and the Ford dampner weighs only 50 lbs.

Are you talking about taking off from a STOP and feeling shuddering, like several little clunks? If so, this is probably that slip-yoke problem or the clutch packs.

Yeah, it kind of shudders from a dead stop, But not so much a "clunk". It only does it every now and then though.
