Hello-

I have an '05 Lariat 4X4 Extended cab that has a sound of rushing air that appears to be coming out of the cowl and upper sealing areas of the windshield. It gets louder after 45mph.The front windshield also appears to fog up much easier than my '01 F150 after sitting for a short time. I pointed this out after delivery to the dealer,and , of course, he says nothing is wrong-normal for the truck "they all do it". My friend has an '04 Lariat like mine, and he doesn't have the noise by the way. I have heard of this wind noise problem in the past, and wondered if anyone knows of a TSB for a re-seal of the windshield area . Any help would be appreciated

Put tape around the windshield and try it again. I'm betting it's just a small piece of sealant out of place. Windshield may have to be removed and resealed for sure.

Go back to the dealer and don't let them give you the "it's normal" BS.

 

I have an 05 Lariat and 04 FX4, neither one have wind noise.

I did add a bug deflector to the 05 which then make a slight wind noise. To fix this annoyance, I installed a SIDO Magnaflow - Now I hear a beautiful rumble from the exhaust, no wind noise.

 

Do you have a bug deflector?
I had one on my truck and had very loud wind noise at highway speeds. I really thought it was the windshield, until I took the bug defllector off.
It will not be going back on the truck.
