How can this be when many new vehicles are coming from the factory with the clear tail lights. Lightnings, and Altimas come to mind immediately.

I also agree the auction should have had an action shot. You need to show what they will look like when lit up. I don't know if they'd look ricey, Ford used the clear tails on the Lightning and I never had anyone tell me my Lightning looked ricey. Oh, maybe it was because they couldn't catch up to me to tell me.

Well can he give us an idea on price or other pictures of how they perform? I wonder how bright these things really are. And how black they are in comparison to the Harley tailights.

I got word back from xtremelights and he said that he will be receiving the first batch of black led taillights. The black is a dark glossy black and the LED's are very bright. The fit is excellent and he excellent service as he has taken care of a lot of the members on this forum when they did have any issues with the black headlights.
As soon as he has any pictures he will send them to me to post.
He has asked if someone wants to start a group purchase to make it easier. I would but I don't know how so if anyone can help that would be awesome.

Two questions:

1. We need to know a price before we even consider a group by

2. How black are these things when they're off? Are they black outs black or just a dark red black?

Hey RP,

What are you thoughts on these? I may hold off until some have them installed and we see how they light up with pictures. I wish they had LEDs in the bottom too. Is there an actual bulb in the bottom or is that just a red reflector? I can't even remember what stock is like.

Do you think these are blacker than the HD style taillights, or the same? The price sounds right. I wonder if the regular ones would look better.

And is it me, or does the very outside trim of this taillight look like it's chrome?

Side by side with stock:
Notice the redness of our outside trim and how the depo one almost looks chrome? Also, the clear part on the depo light doesn't wrap all the way back like the stock. Not docking pts, just commenting.

Come to think of it, I might actually like the darker look. Gosh my truck looks clean here (has been filthy because of all the snow) and the taillights almost look too red.

I like those. I'm not sure I like them enough for what they go for, but I think that they are pretty choice looking.

Guys... DO NOT start a group purchase spin!!! This thread will get snubbed in VERY short order.

Please contact the webmaster if you wish to attempt to start a GP... they MUST be pre-approved; no exceptions.

I have to say that I like these the best of any I've seen. (haven't really liked any I've seen ) I think these are the closest thing I've seen to a factory look that's not completely red. They match the front headlights well and still have a tinge of red at the bottom.

....why doesn't anyone call the front of our trucks ricey?...I mean they are transparent lenses as apposed to the foggy lense of the old style F-150. Why not have rear lights to match the transparent look of the front?.... Where can I get a set?

The clear part looks to be the same. The reason it looks like it only wraps half way around is because the part you don't see from that angle is the little releflector peice on the side that the bulb doesn't shine into. Look at your stockers and it is the same way . As for the chrome trim.......looks like it is chrome and not dark red.
