I'm not expecting it to be "Lightning" fast but I do need to tow my Cobra with it and I don't want to be stuck going 40mph through the mountains because its under powered. I love setting the cruise on 80 in the Lightning and it just pulls down the highway.

The main reason I am trading is I want 4wd and I also want to be able to put passengers in the back. The Lightning gets packed with stuff when I go racing and I'm always short on room.

The interior also looks a lot nicer and hopefully the wind noise has been cut down in the new trucks.

I'm trying to decide to between a Screw or Extended Cab. I'm single, no kids so its not really the space but it would be nice to have 4 doors when I go out to dinner with people etc etc. Cost isn't really that much different, I guess I want to see how both of them look.

I'd be looking for a Lariat in White (No two tone) with Black Interior. Can you post pics if you have a white one? I'm want to see the diff in cabs.

Thanks!

I may get flamed for saying this but if you want power that is on par with a stock Lighting get a Titan, those things haul butt.

Nice Cobra by the way, I also have a mustang that I race but have not yet towed it with my new crew. I chose the F-150 because it feels very solid and rides suprisingly cushy.

I went with my Mom to buy a Maurano and I ended up test driving a Titan. I wasn't impressed at all. It felt slow, soft, and had a vibration in it. The interior was tacky and cheap looking.

My Dad has an 05 Nissan Frontier and thats a great truck! So much better than the Titan I drove. Its just too small and can't tow what I need.

I'll stop by the dealer and take an F150 out and see how I like it.

Thanks for the help, pics look great! I think I'd get a Screw.

I wish I would have gotten the black interior. This is not a special order.

Not trying to talk you out of an F-150 by any means because I absolutely love mine but it is an absolute dog compared to the Titan. A stock Titan is two full seconds faster than an F-150. They are way under rated and have the 5-Speed auto. If you think they are slow just wait until you drive this thing. The interior is subjective but I bet most will agree that the Titan's version of the console shifter is much nicer. That being said I find my interior to be excellent however I wish it had Nav like the Nissan. You may ask why I did not get one, well for one you get much more for the money with the Ford, the Titan will never have the aftermarket, and the F-150 looks way better lowered IMO.

I keep reading about the power, or lack there of. I priced out an F150 Screw Lariat and an F250 Scab PS and at least right now with the rebates the prices aren't that much different with similar options. (Leather, Capts, H-Seats, 4x4, Sat Radio) I can get either truck at X-plan pricing so I'm going to go down to the dealer today and test drive both and see how I like them.

I thought the powerstroke would be a lot more money but if it comes down to 1-2 grand I'll def go that route.
