The Lariat has more electronic gizmo options for the interior than the FX such as electronic climate control and message center with trip computer. If you want gizmo's and a luxurious interior, the Lariat is the way to go.

The FX4 package focuses more on the exterior with skid plate, limited slip dif, painted bumpers, LD bar grille, off road tuned shocks, wheel moldings, FX4 wheels.

Talked to a dealer today that told me that there was also a difference in the strength and/or stiffness of the springs. That FX4 had stiffer/stronger springs. Anyone able to validate or disprove this?

I am not old (26) and went with the lariat for the heated seats, and climate control.

I still have skid plates and ls rear like the fx4.

Wish they would have left the fx4 as a add on package for the xlts and lariats like it used to be.

So how are you guys going to classify the 2006 job#2 FX4's with the FX4 Luxery package. For those of you that don't know that is:
-automatic temp control
-power heated driver & pass seats
-memory seat w/ adj foot pedals
-deluxe mirror package
-leather wrapped sterring wheel w/ audio and climate controls

Who would want a lariat when you can have a fx4 with those options.

The Lincoln LT is for those with more money than brains. Why pay that much $$$ when you could just as easily get a FX4 or a Lariat with the same features.

I guess because some people have different taste, and money.A wealthy person buying A Lincoln LT is no more stupid (actually its less stupid) than a person with very little money financing a Lariat,FX4.or XLT for several years.

I can't see the lt making it. I think a king ranch blows the lt away in and outside on looks.

Oh wow....it's like a FX3.75 now!!!!!!!!! Holy cow...that's just flat out sweet, and definitely worth the extra .25!
